Sonora Beach is one of those places we love because it has its own rhythm. It is not a polished hotel beach club and it is not trying to be Marbella-perfect. It feels more bohemian, more colourful and more alive, with music in the background, sea breeze on the terrace and that slightly untamed beach energy that makes you want to stay longer than planned.

For us, Sonora is at its best when the table is full and everyone orders something different. We love the mix of beach classics and unexpected flavours: croaker ceviche, sea bass tiradito, Sonora salad, king prawns Thai curry, wild red tuna tataki and the Sonora smash burger. Add a good bottle, cocktails and a lazy afternoon by the water, and it becomes exactly the kind of beach lunch we always remember
