Barbillón really stands out as a complete day destination. What we love is that you do not have to choose just one kind of beach club experience: you can spend time by the pool, move to the beach, or settle into the restaurant for a long Mediterranean lunch. It has that relaxed, polished Guadalmina Baja atmosphere where a full day feels natural, especially if you book both a bed and a lunch table.

The views from the restaurant tables are a big part of the appeal. Sitting there with the sea in front of you, the palms moving in the breeze and that bright blue Marbella light, it feels exactly like the kind of lunch setting we look for on a summer day. The pool area is also a strong point, comfortable and easy for families, with children allowed and enough variety in the spaces to suit different moods across the day.

Food-wise, Barbillón works especially well for fresh, sunny-day dining. The Mediterranean menu includes seafood, rice dishes, cocktails and lighter options, and from our notes the salads are a real highlight, particularly the spinach salad and Caesar salad. A fresh salad, a good glass of white wine or a cocktail, and a table with those views is very much the Barbillón moment for us.
