The best area depends on the type of evening you want. Marbella Old Town is great for charm and atmosphere. Puerto Banús works well for dinner followed by drinks. Nueva Andalucía is strong for restaurants close to golf and residential areas. The Golden Mile and Puente Romano area are ideal for a more polished night out. For a special dinner, Marbella offers fine dining, beachside restaurants, Old Town venues, dinner shows, Puerto Banús, Nueva Andalucía and the Golden Mile. The right choice depends on the evening: romantic, family, glamorous, relaxed, local or full entertainment.
Marbella is relaxed, but people like to dress well. For beach clubs, smart beachwear and a polished summer look usually work. For dinner, smart casual is the safest choice. For Puerto Banús, the Golden Mile, Puente Romano and dinner shows, it is better to be slightly overdressed than too casual.
