About the Golf Course

The Real Club de Golf Guadalmina features two 18-hole golf courses, the North and the South. 

The South course, which is the oldest course that is renowned for its difficulty, was designed by Javier Arana and opened in 1959. Guadalmina Sur is renowned for its challenging and demanding nature, making it an ideal course for experienced golfers. The fairways of Guadalmina Sur are narrow and well-protected by large trees, which not only provide welcome shade during the summer months, but also require players to shape their shots carefully. Additionally, the fast and undulating greens present a further challenge to golfers.

The North course, designed by Folco Nardi, opened in 1973. Compared to the south course, the north course is shorter and characterized by more hilly terrain and numerous water obstacles. To succeed on the course, golfers must execute straight drives down the center of the fairways. Any deviation from the ideal shot may result in landing in one of the many water hazards that are artfully hidden in the rough.

In addition to its pair of full-scale 18-hole golf courses, the Guadalmina complex also boasts a delightful par 3 nine-hole course. It’s called the Pitch & Putt and it’s a perfect course to have a quick play compared to the longer courses of 18-holes.

In 2007, the Real Club de Golf Guadalmina was completely renovated by interior designer Mercedes Obieta. Now, the golf club offers a variety of stylish indoor and outdoor spaces furnished for both comfort and functionality. 

The North course was designed by Folco Nardi and the South course was designed by Javier Arana.

The driving range is a great place to practice your swing before hitting the course. The buggies are available to rent and are a great way to get around the course. The pro shop is fully stocked with all the latest golfing equipment, including clubs, balls, and apparel. The restaurant serves delicious food and drinks, and is a great place to relax after a round of golf. The cafeteria is managed by Antonio Campuzano, along with Francisco Vaca and the team and serves an extensive menu, including seafood, meats and daily specials tailored to golfers. The cafeteria opens at 8:00AM and it’s possible to make reservations for dinner. The lessons are provided by experienced professionals and are a great way to improve your game.

The Real Club de Golf Guadalmina is equipped with an extensive practice facility, featuring a total of 40 grass bays at the driving range, along with an additional 21 bays under cover. Furthermore, it offers a dedicated chipping and putting green, as well as a practice bunker for honing your skills.  The presence of such comprehensive practice amenities, including the driving range and specialized areas like the chipping and putting green, solidifies Guadalmina’s status as a prominent hub for golf enthusiasts in Spain and the Andalucía region.
