About the Golf Course

The golf course at La Zagaleta Golf Club has two 18-hole golf courses. The old one is the major attraction because this one is private and was opened in 1993.  Created and designed by the Californian architect Bradford Benz and is an 18-hole, par 72.

The second golf course is the new Zagaleta golf course is an exclusive residential country estate covering almost 900 hectares of beautiful natural hills and valleys and opened in 2005. The designers are Steven Marnoch and Jonathan Gaunt. This Par 70 is a playful 18 holes of wonderful obstacles and doglegs. The course is known for its challenging terrain and strategic design, making it a favorite among experienced golfers. La Zagaleta has taken its services and amenities to a whole new level, and it proudly presents its club members with an exclusive par 70 golf course as a second option.

Architect of the Golf Course

The Old Course at La Zagaleta Golf Club was created by Californian architect Bradford Benz in 1991 and later revamped by Marc Westenborg in 2016. Which beautifully blends with the natural wildlife in the area. Preserving the environment was the top priority for this esteemed American designer when taking on the project at La Zagaleta.  The New Course is designed by Steve Marnoch, and it is fair to say this project has been extremely challenging, which you can understand by looking at the golf course shaping and landscape design.

The course is suitable for experienced golfers and can be challenging for beginners.
