Sunday Boho Lunches That Turn Into a Full Playa Padre Day

For us at MarbsLifestyle.com, Playa Padre is the beach club to choose when you want lunch, beach time and a proper Sunday party in one flowing experience.

Playa Padre is definitely something different in Marbella. It has that rare beach club rhythm where you can arrive for a relaxed day by the sea, settle into the beach atmosphere, enjoy lunch and then feel the whole place build into a party. Sundays are the moment we especially love it, with the famous Boho parties turning lunch into a big social afternoon that keeps going late, full of people coming for food, drinks and the atmosphere.

Our favourite way to do Playa Padre is to make a full day of it: arrive for the beach, move to a lunch table around the afternoon and then stay for the party afterwards. The food is a real highlight, especially the barbecue-style dishes and the meat, which in our experience is absolutely stunning. Service is also good, and the setting brings together the restaurant, terrace, beach beds, cocktails, music and that strong Playa Padre identity just a few metres from the water.

The one thing we would always say is to reserve properly, not only for lunch but also for your table afterwards, because once the day gets going tables move quickly. Outside the Sunday party mood, Playa Padre also works beautifully for a chilled beach day with sandwiches, drinks and a lively but relaxed beach club feeling. It is one of those places where you can either keep it easy or let the day turn into something much bigger.
